Stony Brook University’s School of Journalism – Special Live Show From CCW in NYC

Students from Stony Brook University’s School of Journalism demonstrate live news coverage for Broadcast Professionals at the Content and Communication World Expo located at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City. With the anchors at the TV Studio in Stony Brook University, the reporter is live on the scene, using a Padcaster / iPad to report back.

Josh Apter, inventor of The Padcaster, invited School of Journalism students and faculty to attend his presentation, “Fast, Cheap and Good: Pick 3,” at the Streaming Media Theater in the Javits Convention Center. Apter presented on how to shoot, edit and deliver video productions using the iPad and a Padcaster.

During Apter’s presentation, Technical Manager for the School of Journalism Phil Altiere led students in producing a mini news show for the CCW audience using the same technology as they did during the Wolfstock Live broadcast.
